Major Breakthrough in Ecumenicity

It is The Doser's experience that Christians don't talk much about God but, on the occasions they do, it would be a major ecumenical breakthrough to refer to him as Allah.

Why would it be more inclusive to refer to a Christian God by the name of another religion's god? ANY other religion, let alone the Muslim God. Mohammed himself named the Jews and Christians as infidels. How would this be a breakthrough?

To believe that to use our limited language to name God, is really egomaniacle. To believe that we are expanding God's influence by refering by another limitation "Allah", is nothing more than paying lip service to universality. Why does it matter what anyone calls God, as long as they try yo live according to the teachings that ARE universal among most religions?
